A few new features, and marching towards a release!

There has been a flurry of recent activity in Subversion lately, and I’m really happy to announce that the Windows build has been sorted out after a couple months of compilation issues. So, if you haven’t updated lately, please do so and let us know what you think! Click through for a full list of changes.

Recent changes and enhancements:

* Weapon kick effect when firing all weapons.
* New particle effects for Hyperblaster and BFG muzzle flashes.
* New particle and lighting effects for item respawn and pickup events.
* Tuned lighting effects for all muzzle flashes.
* Vastly improved server state management, addressing several stability issues.
* Fixed a couple 13 year old server-side physics bugs held over from Quake2.

Next, we’ll be wrapping up the graphical menus and replacing the player models — at which point we will be ready for a **general release**!
