Your card (or at least your driver) does not support OpenGL 2.0. Upgrade, or live with the warning. The game still runs fine. You just don't get any fancy effects. Good luck,

The game still runs fine. == false coz I get only console.

Have tried set r_programs "0" in quake2world.cfg but get only console.

Is it possible to boot quake2world without upgrading my driver and without the fancy effects but with 3D graphics ?

June 06, 2008 - 01:14am

You didn't read the documentation == true. Like QuakeWorld, Quake2World does not have in-game menus (at least not yet). To start a game, try typing:

map fractures
map torn
map catfight
connect jdolan.dyndns.org

Etc. All of the map names can be seen in /usr/local/share/quake2world/default/map-*.pak

Good luck,

Hi, wanted you to know that I bought me a new box: AMD64 with a nvidia card. Quake2world compiled without any problems on Debian Etch and gives me 500-1500 fps :-D

Ps will read TFM when game has more players :-p

Haha, nice. Glad to hear it looks and runs as it's supposed to for you now. If you're looking for a game, join the IRC channel. There are usually between 20 and 35 people there depending on the time of day.
