Do you need admin to completely run update.bat

Does having account restrictions affect the effectiveness of update.bat, or disable it?

No, or at least, you shouldn't require it. The Update.bat uses Cygwin's rsync.exe to pull down the game data and binaries, which unfortunately we've found to be not-very-reliable. So I'm left to assume it's failing/erroring on you, and that's why you've asked about admin.

Just keep invoking the Update.bat script, it doesn't crash *every* time, heh. Eventually, you should be able to pull everything down.

We're looking into alternatives now.

Okay, another question, when you run the update.bat, and it says "15 files to consider" gets those files and then just has an underscore just blinking, should I just close the program or let it keep running?

The script will inform you when it's actually finished. Of course, if it truly does hang, just kill it and restart it.
