Okay, I downloaded the zip for Windows.
Extracted it.
I see there's a sub-folder called \bin\ and it's got the exe there.
I create a sub-folder called \baseq2\ and put all my Q2 pak files there.
Is this the correct place?
Then I try running, but it won't run.
Am running on Windows XP SP2
no .NET Framework
no Flash
no Shockwave
no Air
no Silverlight
I remember you joined the IRC channel a few weeks ago, and I think we got you sorted out. Anyway, right: the executables included in the Windows beta are just that -- executables only. You need to run the Updater (Update.bat) to fetch the game data.
